The Basque Country and its industrial fabric will need to adopt a strategic approach to capitalise on opportunities in energy, the environment and industrial and technological development.

The EVE Basque Hydrogen Strategy has as its goal to establish guidelines that will support the development of a hydrogen ecosystem based on

Renewable energy production.
Storage, transportation and distribution infrastructures capable of serving local markets and acting as the foundation for the establishment of a significant logistics hub for the international export market.

This would present an opportunity to decarbonise Basque industry and hard-to-abate sectors, while also pursuing industrial growth in order to cement the Basque country as an exporter of technology.
